Genuine Dream Catchers from our Cherokee Artist
Dream catchers were created by the Ojibwe peoples - an indigenous community in North America. The mothers and grandmothers weave these magical webs as a way of encouraging only good dreams for their family members. They believe that the bad dreams will be caught in the weaves of the dream catchers, whilst the good dreams are allowed to filter through. When the sun rises in the morning the bad dreams are dispersed by the sunlight, and the dream catcher is again ready to filter the dreams during the night.
All our dream catchers are made by Jasmine Battle (pictured) who is a native of the Trail of Tears Cherokee tribe. Jasmine's grandfather taught her the art of making dream catchers, and she has been creating wonderful pieces in the four decades since. Jasmine now makes her dream catchers from her studio in Georgia, and we are her only supplier in the UK.
These are genuine handmade Native American dream catchers, and they're far superior to the mass-produced Chinese imports! If you've never owned a genuine dream catcher before then you're in for a treat!
